<p>There was a time where I would wake up choosing to be a different major each day. It was torture. We should make a thread asking people which major they chose, why they chose that major, and what they would like to do with it.</p>
<p>@rach; i’ve wanted to be an archaeologist since i was 9 after watching the mummy 
ahaha. i’ve always been interested in history and other cultures… and if i pursue a career in anthro… i feel like i’ll always be engaged in learning and research which i like :)</p>

<p>I had no idea what I wanted to major in before I took an anthro class, I loved a ton of different subjects in both the sciences and humanities but felt that they were all too singular in focus; I love how anthro is multidisciplinary and holistic by definition and equips you with the paradigm and tools to study so many different phenomena of human life, past and present. I also love how while so many other sciences are inherently objective, anthropologists are often both scientists/researchers and advocates. </p>
<p>I could go on for days, I’m obsessed, but I know anthro isn’t everyone’s cup o’ tea</p>
<p>I’m hoping to ultimately specialize in medical anthropology, probably from a biological route, and later go to med school.</p>
