<p>Congrats!! …That was a great accomplishment to get in without TAG. </p>
<p>I had suspected for a long time that even though UCSD is a “numbers” campus, you pretty much compete against other people in YOUR particular major …and my hunch turned out to be right.</p>

<p>i got in on the first batch, and everyone pretty much got in at the same time. blkbox’s acceptance does seem somewhat fishy (seriously, no offense) not only because he’s the first (and only??) one to get in so far in this batch, but alsobecause there were people last year who got shut out for not meeting the 3.0 requirement.</p>

<p>Check his/her previous posts. He said on the 30th that s/he already got accepted at SD with a 2.7 and in a differing post s/he said s/he applied with a 3.30. I’d take his/her posts with a grain of salt.</p>
