I think I might wanna go more to Davis now since my plans have changed but I still want this acceptance too! Watch, I’m pretty sure they’re probably just gonna wait till the 30th. If they wanted to send out a second batch then I’m sure it would be out by now.

I called an admissions rep a few days ago and she told me that I should check back in two weeks. smh. I just do not quite understand the point of releasing one batch and then another 6weeks later. I guess we have no option but to just wait it out.

^^^^ Wow TWO weeks so they are waiting it out until the very end of the admission process for this year, huh.

those *****es.

my friend just told me she got in … did anyone hear anything or do i have a ■■■■■ friend ?

Probably means she got in, through the first batch.

Just checked. She’s ■■■■■■■■.

Labecrouge: Yes. At this point, I would invest more energy looking forward to UCLA and Berkeley admission notifications because we at least have an idea of when they will be released. UCSD has made me wait for so long that I am now looking forward to UCLA when I previously wasn’t. I’m dying to hear from someone since I got rejected from sdsu with a 3.9 gpa as a communications major. SMH

Lesleytoche is most likely right about decisions being released in two weeks because UCSD has told me in two separate emails that decisions are at the end of the month.

@lesleytoche: You were rejected with a 3.9 GPA from SDSU? I heard they only accept those around the SD area…? Also, sometimes they reject those they know will get in a better college/UC. I’ve been waiting so long for anything, I didn’t get a housing status change like some have here, I’m not TAG’d. This whole process has been so stressful, I’m not even looking forward to any school anymore, lol, I guess at this point, it’s nice that Berkeley has a set date.

In your opinion, what’s a better school for pre-med? UC Berkeley or UCSD?

@impatientkh

UCSD is a better school for pre-med. It has the medical hospital right on campus and will give you a better chance at getting to medical school than Berkeley. Though if you did go to Berkeley for pre-med and ended up doing extremely well then you would likely get accepted very prestigious medical schools.

If I was doing pre-med though, I would choose UC Davis or UC Irvine.

UCSD is the ultimate premed killer. If you are serious about med school go somewhere that will allow you to get a 4.0 as easy as possible.

Sounds weird but GPA and MCAT are all that matter. A friend of mine went to CSUSM and got a 3.9 which got him into both UCI and USC med. My cousin graduated from UCSD with a 3.4 and didnt get in anywhere. Not even a DO school.

@lesley: dont worry. my sister got into UCSD and was rejected from SDSU with a gpa less than yours in an impacted major (econ).

This thread almost has 100k views; I guess UCSD is on a lot of people’s minds…

^ or…there are people repeatedly checking the thread lol.

I got into UCI but it’s too close for comfort. I’m waiting on UCSD and Berkeley. You guys are making me nervous for UCSD now… I do intend to work really hard but if it’s almost at an unfair standpoint then… =

UCSD decision website is down…zOMG!!! ;)

Its back up and I’m still pending. AHHHHHHHHHHHHWEF :Nf;anwefab;wefahwebf;awef
This is terrible.

This is fuxxing stupid

now I really hate hate UCSD

I would rather wait for UCLA and UCB.

UCSD thinks that they are in same level with UCLA UCB.

Stupid.

Let me tell you UCSD

you guys are not there yet. and probably you can never be like UCLA and UCB
