<p>Yep, this is sketchy. Usually they update the status first, then send the email. The email makes it sound as if the recipient already knew he/she got in.</p>

that’s funny our stats are nearly identical. comm major, no housing change (it says “your admission status will not allow you to blah blah blah”), my tag was disqualified so no tag, 3.28, & i marked igetc because ill be igetc certified at the completion of spring (my counselor said to mark it as long as igetc is complete by spring with 60 units). what does your housing message say? im freaking out, i called today to ask if they determined a gpa cut-off for transfers without tag & she said they don’t have that info yet, whatever that means 
it sucks cuz my tag was disqualified because of math & my gpa will be a 3.5 after spring but obviously spring grades won’t affect admission!</p>

I’m actually a communication major as well but my housing application hasn’t changed yet. And I have 2 friends who are majoring in communication and they already got in! :(</p>

with a 3.7 & igetc i wouldn’t worry at all:) i honestly don’t know how you didnt get into ucla, but im sure you will hear back from berk soon! is tag pretty much required for transfers to even get a shot at ucla now? i didn’t apply but i guess so. it looks like there’s a wide variety of comm gpas…there’s already been some accepted & there’s some of us waiting so i don’t know what’s up with that. that whole tag disqualification thing was such a long process so obviously before i wasn’t worried about barely having a 3.3, but now that i don’t have tag i feel like im screwed. hate this!</p>

<p>Man I hope I get into UCSD this week. Just got denied from UCLA. I got into SDSU and I guess I’ll be fine going there but I really want to get into a UC. Hopefully the Housing App thing is some kind of sign. Mine changed to the “good” one on Saturday.</p>

on the app below TAG it just says Cerficiation for IGETC & you select yes or no. i said yes cuz the ucsd website says you need it completed prior to summer11</p>
<p>i know it really doesnt make sense. i have a feeling we have the original housing message because none of us are tag, & an admissions officer told me transfers without tag are left til the very end to see what room they have (& to determine a gpa cut-off). The cut-off last year was a 3.23. </p>
<p>i wonder too if they’re waiting to see the outcome of ucla acceptances. with how competitive it was for transfers at la this year, a lot of rejections there may be a bad thing for non-taggers at ucsd because it’ll raise the gpa cut-off. then again there’s still berkely, davis, etc. i just don’t know :(</p>

Mine says the same thing as all of yours do. I don’t think it’s an indicator for anything! Don’t worry guys, we’ll all be fine. c: Even some people with TAG haven’t gotten in yet. Just keep your heads up! We can always appeal if all else fails.</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure I got rejected from UCLA cause my GPA was too low for the Comm. program since it’s really competitive and they’re GPA whores. :c I’m really hoping Berk will take my ECs into account.</p>
