Oh well. Down the drain that theory goes;)

" You should apply for Housing online as soon as you receive your admit letter, usually mid- to late-March. There is no fee to apply and no penalty for declining to sign the housing contract, so we highly recommend you apply even before you decide to attend UC San Diego or submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR).The deadline to apply for housing is May 1, 2010. "

that is what my housing says as of now

I thought you couldn’t see the housing stuff pat midnight…

Can’t access it either.

That guy either, 1. Is a freshman or 2. Is taking the housing message from the wrong school.

You can’t access it after midnight anyways.

Most definitely a freshman or has been admitted already as a transfer.

I got nothing. ::sniffle:: : (

“When should I apply for Housing?
You should apply for Housing online as soon as you receive your admit letter, usually mid- to late-March. There is no fee to apply and no penalty for declining to sign the housing contract, so we highly recommend you apply even before you decide to attend UC San Diego or submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR).The deadline to apply for housing is May 1, 2010.” I got the same thing again before midnight. I’m just clicking the housing link and this is the message I get

still nada…

Still nothing too :(

if you fail to read, why have you been accepted to SD? YOU ARE A FRESHMAN. NOT A TRANSFER. GET OUT OF THIS FORUM

Ignore Fenris, he’s one of those guys that no one here likes, but he hasn’t seemed to figure that out on his own.

Nicely said Fenris!

except for the fact that i’m actually helping. it’s not my problem this freshman here can’t read and is simply repeating the same thing over.

Essenar: learn context before you start ranting. thanks!

edit: what have you offered to the forum? If you haven’t noticed, I’ve contributed more than I’ve actually bashed or flamed, so I’m pretty sure people here who don’t ask/say stupid things appreciate the fact that I’m here answering valid questions.

With that said, the guy might be a transfer but he’s looking at the FAQs and not the right link.

So you help people as a means of justifying that behavior? That type of behavior is NEVER necessary, never acceptable and never cool. You could’ve helped each individual poster here, and that behavior only shows what type of person you really are.

He was leaving information up, hoping to answer questions and you bashed him. You could’ve easily just said, “This is the transfer forum, not freshmen forum. Your housing message is different.” Not caps lock anger explosion.

Seriously, that’s not what this forum is here for. For someone who’s not in high school, you sure aren’t acting like an adult.

except for the fact that it was already said before. That’s information we already knew, and that was obviously either a fake message on the Housing Application, something from the FAQ, or he’s a freshman.

It was already addressed.

Stupidity and ignorance **** me off. The difference is that there is a fine line between ignorance/stupidity and asking a question. Most of these replies are “ignorance and stupidity.” Most of which can be answered if you just read. There’s no point in repeating what others have said in a reasonable amount of past pages. It wastes our time and theirs.

Personally, it could help them out. Seeing as how “critical thinking” could encompass looking for information yourself, there are people who are applying/have been accepted who probably don’t deserve to go to a UC, much less San Diego when they can’t process information themselves, look for it independently on forums where most questions have already been answered. There is a search function. use it

The same logic could be held for these people being ignorant. They’re not acting like adults either. They’re acting like a College-prep high school kid who knows nothing and needs material to be shoved down their throat

Essenar, I wouldn’t take it seriously. Fenris is probably 5’2" with a hard core Napoleon complex.

5’9" with a moderate Napoleon complex.

Fenris go suck a fat one. and I’m a transfer thank you very much. People that critique may get things done but are very lonesome and feel warm inside when someone utters their name indirectly… you probably have no work experience or ECs if you’re sooooo up-to-date by watching all our posts!

/flame war
