<p>First time on the post. I saw that a lot of you are still waiting which is why I chose this post. I am still waiting as well. My housing app changed about a week ago. Has anyone heard when the next batch will be coming out?</p>
<p>I am a transfer student with TAG and IGETC. I have a 3.6 GPA. I applied for Human Bio major.</p>
<p>Anyone else with Human bio get in? If so, what was your GPA and were you in TAG?</p>

<p>@Cowgirl, no one really knows for sure. It’s assumed that the housing message means you’ll get in on the next batch because everyone whose message was changed before the most recent batch, got accepted on the new batch. </p>
<p>I never checked my housing message and I was accepted on the first batch, so I have absolutely no idea how it was for me.</p>
<p>A lot of other people’s housing message has changed after the last batch came out. So since this is consistent with last year’s admissions, it seems to be a good system.</p>
<p>I imagine new admissions will go out this week and the last of admissions will go out next week, since next week is the deadline.</p>
<p>The newest housing message means nothing because it wasn’t the same as the old “new” housing message that indicated you were going to be accepted.</p>
<p>also, the deadline is the 30th, not next week</p>
<p>At the MBP dude, I just bought a vaio F and would happily buy an i7 17" if I could afford it lol.</p>

<p>@chris1989 –> we’re talking about the macbook pro, not the mac pro.</p>
<p>@Fenris –> this was such a minor refresh to the product line. and even though the price dropped a little bit overall, the macbook pro just simply is not worth the price IMHO as opposed to most consumer PC Notebooks. </p>
<p>Take ASUS for example, for less than $1500 I can get something with these specs:</p>
<p>3.66 GHz Quad Core i7
~1TB 7200rpm HDD
1GB VRAM Video Card
Blu-Ray Readable
17"+ Display
USB 3.0
etc.etc.</p>
<p>It’s disappointing that I can get a system like this as well as a 13" MBP for the same price as the highest end 15" or 17" MBP which will run you >$2500.</p>

and it’s so strange too, although I only know a few ppl who still havent heard from UCSD like me, their stats are actually pretty good, i mean UCSD doesnt even look at their essay but mostly, or soley on academic performance right? my friends have at least 3.9…im pretty sure that they finished/Goin to complete IGETC…so whats stopping UCSD to release their results on them/us?</p>

<p>UCSD does look at your personal statements for admission purposes. I heard this from the UCSD rep herself (plus she commented on mine… I asked her a couple of days ago while she stopped by the CC…)</p>
<p>they may look at it, but they don’t base decisions on it. there is a sheet that outlines the admissions process.</p>

<p>Any new acceptances come out today? So far I’ve been denied to both CSULB & SDSU… Stillll waiting for UCSD & Irvine’s app status update… I’ve only been accepted to University of Colorado at Boulder… Looking like I may be moving out there this summer… Ahhhh . So far from Irvine :(</p>
