<p>How is it unfair? The GPA cutoff is more of a statistic. If there’s more 3.4’s, are they supposed to kick out 3.4’s to make sure 3.2’s can still get in? </p>

<p>It sucks you guys didn’t get in. A lot of people didn’t get as many choices. I wish I got into Davis as well as San Diego because of my girlfriend.</p>

I’m not bitter, I got in and I have a 3.9, but if they said TAG is guaranteed with a 3.0 they should keep their promise</p>
<p>i don’t think he was talking about TAG GPA cutoffs. if you have TAG, you’re in. End of story. I think he’s talking about everyone without TAG vying for a spot</p>

<p>Here’s what happened with me: my GPA is 3.23 (low - I know - whatever) and I had 2 straight semesters of Fs from more than 10 years ago that I thought had been purged from my record when I successfully petitioned for academic renewal. The admissions rep today told me that City had approved the academic renewal, but I needed to get it specifically from Grossmont, where I’d taken the classes. City had told me that since I was submitting TAG through them, their approval was enough. </p>
<p>Anyway, these two semesters of Fs effectively brought my GPA down to 2.7. Nobody had mentioned this to me before today at all. </p>
<p>I’ll definitely be appealing this.</p>

<p>ucsd eleanor roosevelt college Human Biology or UC Davis biological sciences? I dont know what to do. I am a premed student. I currently live in san diego but grew up in a small town and moved to sd for college. I can do big city and beach or small town and animals. I like both.</p>

<p>@janethedoe I don’t know. I’m only waiting on USC but it’s just so ridiculously expensive to go there. maybe going to UCSD is just the more practical thing to do. but right now, srsly i dont know. As of the moment, I’m thinking of going to UCSD. I won’t SIR yet until I receive my USC decision. My top choices have always been Cal or USC. Since Cal rejected me already, USC is my only hope. However, I’m thinking twice about it if I get in because it costs sooooooo much
