UCSD Class of 2018 Official Decisions Thread

@Korean101 I know how you feel. I feel the same way because UCSD has been my dream school since I was in 8th grade.

@Korean101 @adhanoa96 I definitely feel you guys in regards to crazy parental expectations.
As for the reputation of UCSD, I feel like things would have been a lot better had there been some form of official communication from them during this whole fiasco. Instead, we’ve had to take the word of one student and speculate based on the housing info and TB questionnaire

I really hope that after this whole fiasco is over and people are able to view their decisions, everyone will put this whole incident behind them and still regard UCSD as a great institution to attend. One of the factors that are important for a school to me is its reputation and if people suddenly started regarding UCSD as the “screw-up school” that “can’t do things right” with “poor communications”, then the joy of me attending a once-regarded great school (which will be the case if I get rejected from UCLA & Berkeley which will most likely happen) will diminish. :/

Just saw an email from UCSD. I got in. The email was sent this morning at 8:48am. If you are curious, my housing page shows the “acceptance message” (something like housing will be available late March).

Am I the only one who is reading this thread for entertainment? You guys crack me up.

@unbroken3: Wait, did the email have the official acceptance letter? I’m curious as to what the emails that UCSD are sending to admitted students contain.

@unbroken3 Congratulations! I’m assuming the email was inviting you to an overnight visit? There were people posting about that on here this morning (some 20 pages ago I think?)

@reesee1231 白银约恿装修公司;

@reesee1231 I’m not sure if I should be offended by that or not? But haha I guess we are pretty ridiculous to be freaking out about this to the point of 100 pages of posts

@SoCalMom18, You have given us hope as we haven’t received anything either.

the website JUST went down for me and reuploaded with the “acceptance” housing message.
I’ve had the “rejection” housing message this whole time and it just changed right now.

I don’t know what this means, but I’m just telling you not to depend on one or the other, because it could change.

@happilee Mine changed too

@happilee Mind sharing what letter your last name starts with? Because if you’re toward the end of the alphabet, there’s a possibility that decisions are still being input, which goes against the idea that they aren’t working on Sunday

does anyone know when we could except admission stats tomorrow?, like is it early in the morning or the evening?

Korean101, ahleesuh, this is the content of the email:

I’m over this housing bs I just want my dang decision

You know, I think we will look at this whole fiasco in a positive light. The fact that I found it worth my time to write about it on here and refresh the page proves to me how much I care about the school and why I should be thankful if I get in. If this didn’t happen, I may not have cared so much or even chose to attend.

My housing status has changed from the “rejection” message to the “acceptance” message as well. o:
My last name starts with a D.

I still havent received anything:/ anyone knows if ucsd releases decisions on sunday? I’m dying with the wait

My last name stars with L!
