UCSD Class of 2018 Official Decisions Thread

Did the system crash in prior years? I think that yesterday’s crash indicates that whoever saw their decision will get it officially when they fix it. For those of us who didn’t, we just have to wait. Nowhere did they say that all their decisions were released on 3/15. enough with the speculation. Wait for the frickin email and don’t interpret too much.

I’ve been telling my friends at UCSD about this fiasco and they said they’ve never heard of anything like this in the past four years.

And I’m sick and tired of all of you who received a call or got an email invitation still questioning your status. That’s not cool. You are rubbing it in the faces of all of those who have not yet heard. Get off this site if you’ve already heard and wait for your next acceptance.

@Brentboy - same here, man, same here… This is weird.

@Brentboy Now that you mention it, my text changed from red to black as well. This probably indicates that they’re changing the housing statuses for who know what reasons…

On the bright side, if UCSD comes out tomorrow, then you will get to know the decisions for two UCs, UCSD and UCSB, unless we all crash the system … again.

I’ve had the “rejected message” until recently and now when I checked it says "
The housing application will become available in late-March. Please check back…"

What should I think of this

Don’t worry guys, they will notify everyone by email now. So woohoo!

@chal23913 If you go back through the last few pages, you’ll notice that other people’s housing statuses have changed as well. This most likely means that UCSD is changing the housing statuses for whatever reasons and the housing trick is not reliable

@chal23913 - same here, and I was apparently waitlisted yesterday. Right now, I’m hella confused - but, I have to admit, still harboring a tiny smidgen of hope that I might actually have been accepted. (And that, @Chubscout, is why I’m still on this thread even though I supposedly received a decision…)

@UniversityHugger - wait, “now” as in NOW? Are they gonna actually email us today? =P~

@UniversityHugger Are they notifying of decisions via email? I understood it as they would send out emails when the decisions would be available via the portal

Hey, are there any other people on this thread who got waitlisted yesterday? Did your housing statuses change too?

^^@chal23913 - Same things just happened on my son’s portal. He checked the housing application page an hour or two ago and the reject/don’t have access message was still there (always has been that message). Just now he checked again and it now has the “The housing application will become available in late-March”. (BTW-“The” was spelled “TThe”). I hope this is good news.

Here is the housing status in all its glory. http://■■■■■■■.com/r/2aj9q2v/8</a>
-Note the typo

Looks like it changed again:

The housing application will be available in late-March and available for those admitted to UC San Diego. If you would like to learn more about housing at UC San Diego, please use the link in the Housing menu above.

Notice the addition of the stuff I put in bold (emphasis mine)

@Zanelol HAHAHA- oh God I’m an OCD grammar freak and this is disturbing me

edit: already been pointed out

@jackson61 Guess its not an English school. XD

…are they reading this thread?
