@Ahnissa I know what you mean. Ucsd isn’t my first choice either but being rejected would be awful. And where does that leave me with the other schools UCLA UCB USC etc. I know they’re decisions are all independent of each other but it still makes me worry
Yes it did.
@TurboPlo omg same. sd be leading us on and playing with our emotions lol.
@JaeHwanLoL it’s rigorous in terms of GE’s but doable for sure. As a non-STEM major, I don’t regret coming here.
I got into Mechanical engineering at Warren college!
So I just wasted like 3 hours waiting for nothing, if the rest will not be released today
@pleaseacceptme99 Especially when all our friends are getting accepted too… I have a party tomorrow and it’d suck if I got rejected out of the bunch. Oh well.
It’s hard to stay positive when something like this happens. T_____T
@CalDude2020 Did you just check right now???
Let’s keep hoping, but realistically…in what scenario would admissions say “oh yea if your portal hasn’t changed then you’re rejected/waitlisted”? I can’t think of any other reason why they’d be releasing in batches like this. Plenty of schools are capable of releasing decisions in one batch.
yes i’ve been worrying too. Until I went on twitter and one of my friends posted a tweet saying she got rejected.
Technically, the admin office can say that, but practically, frankly I think it just means reject/wl, because it’s impractical for them to keep track of those waves (unless those are accept/reject/wl waves) this late in the game.
I do like UCSD, but still it’s just a college. Cheer up guys! Let’s live and hope for another day.
Do they send out an email to people who get accepted like UCD?
Can someone pls tell me if their friends got it but not you??
@KbbGrizzly Happened to me and my friend. We’re both waiting.
@KbbGrizzly me.
@ShipAlreadySank But then why would they release acceptances in batches? Honestly, I wish they would’ve posted all at once, but that’s obviously not the process they’re using. This process releases in batches, so I think there’s still reason to hope.
@KbbGrizzly got what?
Three of my friends have gotten in. The rest of them, and I, are still waiting.
I don’t think it’s rolling. Like a dude said, from CC it looks that ~30-40% kids got accepted at 3pm, which matches with their acceptance rate.
That 3pm wave was the acceptance wave. They may still accept a few people later, but for most of the “wait till 30” kids (me included), I think we better mentally prepare the bad outcome.
What are the stats/majors of everyone here who doesn’t have updated portals yet?
2110 SAT, 4.27 UC GPA, poli sci here
