The supplement is generally for people who have gone through a great deal in life, URM, or pretty borderline candidates (HOWEVER NOT ALWAYS THE LATTER- for UCLA, their supplemental had about 10% with 4.0 UW GPA)
@vimyle it definitely can’t hurt to check again at 3 but I personally don’t believe we will hear back this weekend.
Oh I’m so glad I found this forum because I was literally having a heart attack after looking at the other forum because everyone got their decision. Soo is it today or Monday? I can’t wait till Monday my heart hurts lol
My friend got into UCB last month O.o?
@meltingsoull Some got theirs today. I would wait until Monday
@Perseveretillend I think the people who said they got theirs today actually all got theirs yesterday from what they’ve said
This is soo unfair. We’re dying over here HELLO??
@gracield I looked on the portal around 5 or 5:30 yesterday and it said I was accepted.
@Perseveretillend I had friends who got into UCB a few weeks ago. It’s because of Regents
Same @laurano24
GUYS I found a forum where someone said that UCSD has a habit of releasing their decisions on weekends. Let’s hope they’re available at 3
All the March 30ed thing shouldn’t be taken seriously tbh. Have hope!! ^^
@Perseveretillend Top applicants were accepted to UC Berkeley early.
I got a supplemental but didn’t answer it (didn’t see the email until after the deadline)
Are my chances ruined?
Does anyone know if the people who have been accepted are majority from public high schools. Because UCs have obligations to place the top 10% of public high school studentd in at least one UC. The people that have been accepted mat be those that they have to place and thats why theyve heard. This isnt to say that no one from private schools heard but just a suggestion that seems plausible
@unconfidentially I don’t think you will be automatically be dropped from admission! UCB won’t solely rely on one supplemental essay.
Has anyone received new status updates today?
@chantal225 The top 10% of high school students would not be automatically put in UCSD. That whole “program” thing goes like this: If a top 10% student doesn’t get into a UC school, UC will guarantee them a spot at one of their schools. Most likely, it is the lower tier UCs like Santa Cruz and Merced.
Although I’m dedicated to Emory University as of now, I will be waiting and cheering you all on!! Persevere!
Checked at 203, still March 30d. Do we ave good reasons to think it will come out today?
