How is Sixth college from anyones’s knowledge? It was my 5th choice so I don’t recall…
@itsmyusername I received mine’s just yesterday. You’re talking about the login also used to accept the admission offer, correct?
I feel like there will be no more acceptances for UCSD… They are doing the exact same thing as what UC irvine did in 2014… I think it would be better for us to think about other colleges and set UCSD aside since no one can really concentrate on anything due to thinking about UCSD.
@USMC0311 We are all extremely grateful to have you here and appreciate the new light of hope you’ve shined on us. Thank you
@mij221 Many of us have already been told about the Irvine situation and giving up. But most of us like to continue to remain hopeful and optimistic, you never know!
I know another March 30th who has been rejected from everywhere even cal state universities and his GPA is 2.5.
@USMC0311 Could you check in if you call people and they say that already got their decision?
I got the email Saturday morning
@angiepie Sure, I can do that.
@USMC0311 Do you know around what time the calls will be coming around?
Looks like decisions for sure will not be out today.
Hoping for tomorrow
@USMC0311, are you an alumnus or current UCSD student?
I’m thinking that according to @USMC0311 they will call until Friday and the rest of decisions will come out on Friday on the portal.
I have a question. Why is everyone so obsessed with UCSD? Isn’t UCSD falling in rankings anyway? Why not wait for UCLA or UCB? Again, I’m not trying to be critical or assertive, I’m just curious what is so great about UCSD.
@mij221 I don’t pay attention to rankings. They don’t factor into my decision. I didn’t apply to either UCLA or UCB because I don’t like the areas. I did tour and seriously consider both at several points in time but the fit was all wrong for me. The academics at UCSD are excellent, on par with/close to on par with UCB & UCLA and the fit of UCSD is much better. That’s just for me, though.
@mij221 It’s still a great school, especially for med, and it has a great location. I’d love to experience the big city, so yeah, UCSD is a pretty big deal to me since you’re killing two birds with one stone.
@mij221 I was never too concerned with rankings. UCSD was special for me because it was one of the few UCs that offer a Physiology major.
@mij221 I was March 30’d and SD was supposed to be my first UC decision. UCLA is my top choice and I guess anxiety is taking over… “If I get rejected from SD, I’ll be rejected by LA, Berkeley, etc.”.
UCI did this in 2014 and the applicants received answers after the results of UCLA and UCB.
@wholikestostudy yeah the anxiety starts to kick in. even though one UC school’s decision is not indicative of another UC, you can’t help but think that it would be harder to get into the top tier UCs
