Son was accepted this weekend. Very exciting. OOS. 34 ACT 2230 SAT. Warren. He requested Computer Enginering or Computer Science, but got assigned Undeclared. It is now doubtful that he will go to UCSD if he isn’t guaranteed a major in the field he wants. Too expensive to take that risk.
Congrats to those who got good news early from UCSD and best wishes to those are still waiting!!
@cassielk did they actually get a message saying they were waitlisted or did they get the message that says that they will be informed of a decision by march 30?

I think we all need to realize that UCSD is not the end all, be all even for those who have it as a first choice (including me) whatever happens we’ll deal with it
For those of you who missed the past posts, people who called the admissions this morning said that the students chosen for each wave are totally random. Which means that the second batch is not more or less likely to contain rejections or waitlists.
So I don’t think we have to worry too much.
They will come out in a few days or so :b
There will always be them IVY Leagues! If UCSD doesn’t turn out well.
sigh have to go to Harvard if rejected to SD 
I hope we can get accepted in UCLA.

Alright, so we know that there are waves of results coming in, and that the March 30th thing is not an issue. What someone should call about is WHEN the next wave is coming in. I can try, but someone else should in case I forget. :-??
I believe all CS majors get in as undeclared because certain prerequisites must be completed to “get into” the major
I am assuming that another batch of decisions will be released on Friday…Just what I think
