UCSD Class of 2020 Discussion

@Parislove98 is UCSD your top choice? And would you mind sharing stats?

@IBGuy101 I got my financial estimate. Thar’s odd. Perhaps call them or recheck at another time, when the site is not as busy.

@mjk545 Marshall isn’t too far from the center of campus, and it is pretty close to the library. Everyone either loves or hates Goody’s there, which is like a Chipotle style restaurant. You can also check what your GE requirements are as well for the college. Marshall and ERC are more poli sci, Warren is engineering/CS, Revelle is science, Sixth is more art oriented, and Muir is the most lax with GE’s

@elefish92 same here… it would totally suck…

Son Accepted OOS/ NC (around 6pm)
Economics
Thurgood Marshall
Weighted 3.9
ACT 32
Good EC

Oh, I got in with Econ major. 1910 SAT, 4.3 UC GPA, 2000+ community service, marketing/stocks jobs.

@Parislove98 Maybe the majority/all of the first batch was acceptances but I highly doubt all of their next batches will be rejection/waitlist. It doesn’t make sense. Highly likely there will be acceptances within every batch as well as rejections/waitlist decisions

@liveinthelbc Cool thanks! I’m interested in poli sci as well so seems like a good fit for me on the surface

@kidfromNJ @miniminimint I’m stem :frowning:
my stats are: 2200 sat
W GPA:4.28
UC GPA: 4.06(about that im not sure)
UCSD is my top choice, i really hope this means i’ve been rejected!! D:

According to the posts so far, NO ONE had been Waitlisted or Rejected right?

@mjk545 Yeah! and the DOC series you have to take covers your DEI requirement, so that’s one less class you have to take

Still waiting for Computer Science… The wait is horrible…

@Parislove98 Same here.

Ahhhhh accepted to human bio in Marshall. Didn’t get Muir though, Marshall was my second choice.

Does anyone know if you have to pay for parking during tritton day?

Just got accepted about an hour ago. However…
Major: undeclared (I went for Computer Engineering and alternate was Computer Science and Engineering which are both impacted :()
Sixth College
Weighted GPA: 4.41
Pretty good application

Is it possible for me to eventually switch into Computer Science as my major (or at least apply for it)?

Anyone waiting for STEM majors?

@Way2uni me

@KimHyunJun CS is extremely impacted. You’d have to get practically a 4.0 on all of your first year courses just to be considered to apply to switch. It is possible but if you are 100% set on CS it might be a little hard

@Parislove98 For Comp. Sci?

@vi0linmonster parking is free on weekends
