UCSD Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

Hello @unknown10108!

First of all. Good Luck!

I had ULink so in some ways it made it easier for me to get into UCSD. Some advice would be to work hard. Get the grades. But I’m sure that you already know that. Do stuff that you are passionate about so it will make it easier to talk about in your personal statements.

Some extracurriculars is: I have over 400+ volunteering hours in a hospital alone due to starting in high school. I volunteered both on a nursing unit and the ICU. This helped me get more involved since I had been given the opportunity to train other volunteers. I have other community service like being apart of a cultural group. I go around the area spreading my culture. I worked and did babysitting a little.

I started working on my essays during the summer so it helped me reflect and change things I didn’t like. It also helped to get those out of the way since I had a lot of classes. The essays are supposed to reflect who you are. So take your time. I had 2 other people read my personal statements and make corrections.

I didn’t have a lot of things on my application. Its more about quality over quantity.

Good Luck again!
