UCSD FALL 2016 TRANSFER THREAD

Damn. I’d do anything to be able to hack into ucreview and check out the decisions SD LA and B gave me right now.

This just in: all decisions will be released on the 29th. Don’t check any portals until then

@screenname34
Lol can’t tell if you’re messing with us by saying that if we checked on that day, all UC decisions would be posted…or if you actually found that info somewhere.

Last year I had to wait until the end of May to see if I was accepted (got waitlisted at first). I did get accepted though.

@Salmanthgr8 what was your gpa and major if you don’t mind me asking

guys, the site is down right now.

Hmm server is down for me

Yeah the server is down now!

Its always down at night.

@solostish @nickzzz @itakenotes @Hankwang94 the server isn’t done for me and it’s night time…

Watch UCSD not release decisions until next Friday like UCLA is expected to

Another long anxious week ahead… Good luck to everybody!

One of the department’s coordinator in the Jacobs School of Engineering told me that decisions won’t come out tile sometime in May for majority of us…which makes sense given that all the UCs got a record high number of applications this year. So guys just relax and hope for some time in May. If it comes early then it would benevn more exciting but expect it in May

This is a crazy year for transfer students! That extended deadline (two month extension) MAY contribute to some schools going past the “promised” deadline of admission notification.

Releasing decisions in April is not “releasing decisions early”. It is releasing decisions before the mandated decision deadline for the entire University of California system. Pushing a major release date back to May would completely throw off the entire new admit schedule for next month. Transfer days, housing application, early enrollment summer programs, etc. It would be a terrible decision.

Not to mention, it would be extremely unnecessary. The UCs on average received 2,000 more transfer applications. 2,000 out of the 100,000 that they evaluate every single year. Freshman applications require far more consideration than transfer applications as well given that fact that all personal statements and ECs are closely considered for freshman while they only matter for transfers on the edge of the cut off. University applications increase every single year. They always have. Those additional weeks that they offered this year did not change the game. A 2,000 increase is far from astronomical.

We all would love to know, but it would be better for all of us if we just stopped asking people who don’t know. The admissions office does not answer to our local counselors or even other faulty at the UCs. We have less than 2 weeks until the last weekday of April. Most of us are going to be here waiting for LA and/or Berkeley either so what is the point in putting yourselves through all of this?

They will all be out by April 30th. Everyone needs to chill. It is mandated by the UC system to have them out in that time.

All of these people and speaking to representatives…lol. UCSD clearly says by April 30th, so theres a 100% chance they DONT come out in May and that they will come out sometime in April.

Anyone know what the cutoff GPA is for Mechanical Engineering? I have a 3.73 and I think I’m right at the cutoff or possibly even below :confused:

Who do I e-mail to notify of a course withdrawal?

I knew all SDSU students always graduated, Why SDSU rejected student with 4.0? UCSD you will know you can get in your major or not after second year. UCSD should be 4.0 or greater. just thought?
