@rh1016183 Hey dude! I was actually shocked when I saw my rejection. It was my first choice, and I thought I had it. I don’t think I screwed anything up in the app. I was told that UCSD would mainly focus on the GPA but that doesn’t seem to be true at all. My personal statements were super solid but I don’t think they bothered looking at it. Honestly, f*** UCSD with their dumb, slow decisions.I guess I’m now an Aggie. Anyway, did you get accepted?

@AdultSwimFan That’s absolutely brutal. The wait we were put through was absolutely brutal and uncalled for as well. I was accepted but it was quite the toss-up. Councelor basically told me to go for it and see what happens since I am missing a handful of major prep courses. I wish you the very best at UCD. What major did you get in to?

EC: 6 years experience working as a paid electrical engineering design intern for SF city government, worked on large-scale projects under a licensed PE. Worked three jobs to support myself through school after leaving my abusive childhood home at 19, Built a bunch of robots, including a cannon that I also coded to autonomously launch whiffle balls at a robot in a maze by reading input from both ultrasonic and IR sensors, went to NASA camp on a scholarship for two years since I was in the Girl Scout Hall of Fame in high-school. Gave a speech at UC Berkeley at the honors symposium about the struggles of female engineers in the workplace and measures to take to resolve them. Bay Area native.
