@hailey5799 I was accepted off the waitlist on the 10th also and haven’t gotten the packet yet either. I’m a little relieved to know I’m not the only one but WHERE IS IT LOL
I was just accepted off the Waitlist.
I was also accepted off the waitlist on May 10th and haven’t received the packet either
Do waitlist people usually get acceptance package in the mail?
Got in through appeal. Warren College (my first choice was Sixth, but I’m just happy I got accepted in the first place lol).
Miracles happen!
Transferring from Santa Monica College.
Accepted into UC Santa Cruz, UC Riverside, UC Davis.
Rejected by UC Santa Barbara, UCLA, UC Berkeley (appealed at the last 2 as well, still waiting for answers).
Overall GPA: 2.88 (terrible, I know)
Major GPA: 3.00
Major: Anthropology
IGETC: will be done by the end of Spring 2018, just have to complete my math requirement
Major requirements: finished by Fall 2017.
EC’s/Work:
Volunteered at an animal shelter for about 70 hours.
Editor & writer for a media publication focusing on music festivals.
Volunteering with harm reduction organizations at raves and concerts.
Choir singer since I was 7 years old.
Sewing & designing alternative and/or festival fashion for the past 4 years.
Yoga lol
Personal Insight Questions: went over them a thousand times, had counselors and a few professors read them too. My favorite one was probably the community one, I wrote about raving and harm reduction (pretty risky, according to almost everyone who read it, but it also represented me the most so I went with it anyway).
In my application, I was pretty vague about the reasons why my GPA took a dip… I guess I didn’t want to bore them with my sob stories haha. But that’s what I ended up addressing in my appeal, mentioning that I am a domestic abuse survivor and that I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD and depression, but also talking about how I’m dealing with it and “rising above it”.
I’m pretty surprised that they ended up admitting me. I’m really happy about it though.

I got accepted off the waitlist for ECE but put down the wrong san diego on my fafsa :-S
I corrected it right away but how screwed am I for financial aid?
@Tomc4t hey did they required you to send in Ap scores from highschool?
@Tomc4t As long as you submitted your FAFSA application by the deadline, just make the correction and it’ll resubmit to UCSD. You can email an advisor but they’ll probably tell you something similar to what I just said. I did the same thing last year (I put USD’s federal code instead of UCSD’s) & the main advisor told me it would be fine since I submitted my FAFSA app by the March 2nd deadline (to qualify for the most grants)
@Sokhak I’m a transfer student so I’m not sure if they would want those.
@thinkweism I submitted my FAFSA back in January, when did you do the correction?
Do you guys know when we can enroll for fall classes??
Has anyone else received a delay for their Housing Contract link? My Triton Checklist has been updated like three times today, each saying something different every time. The current one says to wait until next week.
@KGomez Hi, current student and transfer last year. I remember signing up for classes sometimes in August. I think incoming transfers are the last to sign up. You’ll get an appointment through webreg. Also make sure your UCSD gmail is set up.
If anyone has advising questions you can ask them through vac.ucsd.edu I think you should have access to it now…
@Tomc4t I submitted my FAFSA around February (right before I got my acceptance that April) and made the correction about a week before I was accepted. You can try to e-mail finaid@ucsd.edu to let them know the situation (include your PID, the explanation, when you originally submitted, when you submitted the correction) and they’ll get back to you relatively quick. It takes a few days to process the correction (like 2-3 business days) but they had no issues with my financial aid. Not sure about how late is too late for them, however, and if that’s a potential problem.
This is what they told me in the email when I made the correction last year:
" Because you have submitted your initial FAFSA before the deadline, although you did not include our school code, it would still be considered ON TIME."
It’s always best to e-mail just to be sure.
