i’ve been using informed delivery for a while and they don’t update until the morning mail is supposed to go out, so you’ll see b&w photos of mail you will be getting later that day, earlier on in the day. also, when i received my admission package from ucsb it was counted as mail and not a package, so i wasn’t able to see that it was coming until that morning. not sure if it’s the same for ucsd, but just a fyi for those trying to make an informed delivery acc just for this !!
Hi guys, I’m a long time lurker and I thought it was time to finally join and say IM DYING TO KNOW. I have so much anxiety and I know I’m not the only one out there. Still holding out for 5 pm … if not, I’m throwing my support behind Wednesday and am going to STOP worrying so much. The decision is already made, can’t do anything/stress any further. We have all worked really hard to get here, only a few more days tops!

I’m currently waiting to hear back from UCSD. What do you guys think my chances are given a 3.5 gpa as a sociology major? I’m transferring with about 60 units and I’ve completed all of the required classes for the UC system.

@soc1997 if IGETC is done you should be good, maybe even UCLA

Thank you for your reply! This is probably a silly question but i have about 2 C’s on my transcript. Will that be a huge issue for getting admitted?
@soc1997 As long as you have IGETC done you’re probably fine. If the C’s were in tough courses, such as Physics or Calculus, you’re solid. You would be in a tough situation for Berkeley but UCSD should be fine.
@soc1997 I really doubt it. Its all about the upward trend in grades. I dropped out of high school, took a couple classes at CC with Ds and Cs, returned after the military, and I am 3 and 0 for UC acceptances. Additionally, at the UCB summer experience program the admission officers specifically said we are not looking for perfect people but those who progress at school and are active in the community.
