Does anyone NOT have the smiling student picture?
It does actually seem like having that “celebratory” graphic is something that might only be noticed late in the process, and that they might have to patch in a primitive way ahead of time.
You’re right - there is a lot of confusion on here because people don’t understand what the “bar” is that people are referencing. The original poster noticed that the BLUE bar/banner at the very TOP (NOT the big picture with smiling students) disappeared. The blue bar/banner contains dropdown options such as HOME, My UC Application, FAQ, Contact. This is what has disappeared for some but not all of applicants in this forum. Not the people picture.

Does someone who DOES have the blue banner menu mar at the top of their portal want to share their source code and we can do a comparison?
it was different yesterday, my friends who had the blue bar dont have it today anymore so that could make sense too
