@Taylorsams13 You should definitely appeal. I had some pretty extreme extenuating circumstances and was admitted on appeal with a 3.32 GPA. The UCSD rep for my school told me that UCSD does not read personal statements (besides a few lucky ones flagged to be read). They don’t even really look at the wait list essay unless it is to decide between you and another person with the same stats. The rep told me to save my breath for my appeal essay, and he was definitely right. It only took them three working days to make a decision on mine! My advice is to condense your personal essay outlining your extenuating circumstances into 200 words (I believe that is the limit) and appeal. It won’t hurt to try!

I’m pretty sure you can’t appeal a waitlist decision…does anyone know if you can? Or has anyone attempted to?

I will def appeal if you can appeal a waitlist decision. But I don’t know if you can

I actually sent them an email after I got rejected. This is what they replied:
Thank you for your inquiry. I’m sorry but you will have to reapply for the fall term, 2015 if you wish to be considered for admission, once again.

Sincerely,

Man, I feel so guilty

I called them and they told me that If you only see your waitlist decision then you got denied. And no, you can’t appeal. Well I guess i have to decide between dropping out or staying in my current school

Denied here too! 3.47 GPA!

@frankthetank1 WOW, You had a higher GPA than me, and they still rejected you. Did you tag to UCSD? What about IGETC, did you complete it?

@CollegeDropout1 I completed my IGETC this Spring but I didn’t tag UCSD.

GOT IN WITH A 3.38 GPA! not really…denied.

@Taylorsams13 if you’re serious about asu online then you should get a job at starbucks. They will pay for your two years of school if you are a transfer. Just a thought if you are for real about asu.
