@cberg97 Last fall I was in the same boat as you, so I scheduled a meeting with a transfer adviser at UCR (it was my first choice at the time), and here is basically what she told me: UCs care a lot about their so called “7-subject plan”, which is:
2 English composition
1 mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning
4 courses from at least 2 of the following:
Arts and humanities
Physical and biological sciences
Social and behavioral sciences
(taken from UCSD website)
She basically advised to ditch IGETC all together and concentrate on these 7 courses and major prep. As far as the major prep goes, UCB, UCLA and UCSD have a lot of overlapping subjects. If you do a full math sequence (calc 1,2,3 + DE or LA), a full physics sequence, and 1 year worth of programming (Java is good for all 3 UCs you named), I think you will be all set.
