<p>I am a freshman at UF and I am actually surprised at the students that stay at UF because they have so much fun and stuff, yet are the brightest in Florida. To answer the OOS student’s question, UF is more competitive and harder to get into and is considered more prestigious than FSU and having a degree from UF is more highly looked upon, however FSU does have some good things about it as well. The bad thing about being at UF is that even being a gator myself, I get tired of the cocky atmosphere and feeling the need to always compete against people as if I have something to prove. If you have a problem with living up to high standards and feel you would die at a school where its every man for themselves, go to FSU, where you’re cared about, because I can honestly say UF doesnt give a crap lol. However, it is pretty much understood that UF is out of the league of every other university in Florida, and is the most affordable university in Florida on top of that</p>
<p>By the way, I am black. Most of the parties that happen on the party street seem to be dominated by blacks and hispanics…i havent heard of any white parties, so as far as parties, I would say its typically the white people who find themselves traveling to FSU for parties, because blacks and hispanics are just fine with the party scene at UF lol</p>
