<p>Yeah, im a monority and believe in diverse environments but at the same time believe in being fair. I think its wonderful they are pushing for diversity but I hope they push is for “qualified” minority. It sucks to hear “you got in cuz you are black” or “you got in cuz you are a good athlete” (my lit teacher told me I was getting in because Im black, she didnt even know my my academic stats) In fact all the talk about diversity and race, makes some minority (qualified) think twice about applying instead of giving confidence of getting admitted. I wouldn’t want to go to a school with racial problems. I read their diversity paper, it was pretty good and made sense, but it should be no reason to be unfair, which I hope they are arent.</p>
