<p>I think one of the reasons why UGA has deferred many people (most high stat applicants) is to see if they are actually interested in the school and not just looking at it as a safety (which is where low-stat applicants come in). They want to accept as few people as possible to keep their acceptance rate low (like most schools), and with high stat applicants, they are EXTREMELY likely to get into a higher level school (like, the Athlete recruit going to Yale). </p>
<p>By the way, maverick, if you live in East Cobb, it’s very likely that the Yale recruit is gay because I saw someone from the area on a site (xy.com) and he said he was recruited. Not very likely there will be hundreds of Yale recruits from Georgia… Small world.</p>
