They don’t look at your high school scores at all. It’s based solely on your time at UGA during your first semester. You have to make sure to take a full 15 hour course load (usually 5 classes), maintain a 3.8, get a professor recommendation (it’s preferable to have a small class so the rec is better and more in depth), and write an essay. Usually accepted students have a near 4.0 GPA but it gives students who had low SAT/ACT scores or a poor GPA a chance to get into the program. After the first semester, this is no longer an option, so make sure you’re on top of it if that’s what you plan to do.
