<p>Yeah, I hear you. Kind of sad that I know many schools in Georgia (especially my part, SE) where “top 5%” doesn’t say a whole lot. However, I think if people at such schools were given a chance, they could surprise and prove the school (as in university)wrong and be very successful. I know at least a couple here who had great GPA and SAT but a lack of course rigor, and were admitted. One, in particular, is pre-med, and is doing very well here against all odds, even in more rigorous sections of certain pre-med courses (he’s acing organic w/a notorious prof. The dude’s a trooper). That really sucks. I hope she is admitted.</p>
