good luck. I hope it works out. But these are all good choices. My kid loves UGA. Pitt is a very different environment (urban) so it’s up to your kid what she wants.
I still feel like the rep of UGA (and Pitt too) is better than USC’s in the Northeast and out West, but if she has honors at USC then that will even things out.
Obviously in my biased opinion, honors at UGA would be the winner.
Update: She was invited to the Honors College at UGA. In addition, she was selected as a finalist for the CURO Honors Scholarship and invited to interview in early April.
So, now we have Honors across the board and CURO to consider.
If anyone has additional insights on CURO, happy to get impressions.
I think I would encourage your daughter to make her choice based on fit and her gut. (unless you want to make it for her based on finances). all are great.
If she wants an urban vibe then obviously that choice is Pitt.
If she wants nicer weather, then UGA or USC win of course.
Honors and Curo at UGA seems like a great opportunity. she will have great support there. Athens is a lot of fun.
Pitt is of course famous for its medical stuff- but hey! UGA is getting its own medical school soon! so that’s kinda cool.
I love the city of Pittsburgh. But you only get one chance in life to be a college kid in a college town.
She will make the call. Ironically, the only one who has offered her no merit to date is UGA. Not a game changer but hopefully she will get some financial incentive but given how hard it is to get in out of state, not expecting much if anything.
