Nice choice!
I run an elite EE/CE research group for a large company. Both of these schools are well represented in my group, and I’d say they are in my top 5 from which I recruit (MIT, Cornell, UIUC, Michigan and Cooper). I think UIUC is more widely known among famous companies, but I consider Cooper Union to be my little secret. I’m just blown away by the capabilities that I’ve seen from their BS candidates that I’ve interviewed. In order to get someone from Cooper that I badly wanted recently, I had to match the highest BSEE offer I’d ever seen. My sample size for Cooper is obviously much smaller, and perhaps I’m only dealing with the survivors, but wow these folks learn a lot.
