UIUC vs Purdue vs RPI vs Stony Brook for Computer science

1) What PayScale does not take into consideration is what will be the current “hot technology” at that time and how much the industry is paying for that current hot technology.

2) CS programs NOT in the engineering college DOES NOT matter as ABET accreditation is not important for CS as other engineering majors. As I have stated before, U-Wisconsin, U-Maryland and U-Texas CS grads do just fine and their CS programs are not part of the engineering college.

3) I did not know about Stony Brook’s rep until I visit this site. If its rep is as good as many posters have said, then it would be the best choice. You don’t need to spend a lot of money for a CS degree. The software engineering industry is NOT like the business/finance industry. Hiring managers are not going to ask your school in the first sentence like the finance industry does.
