Do you have a recommendation for someone, or an organization I could I hire to help us navigate this? I know that I don’t know, and I don’t want to miss something.

This option of a SMP sounds very interesting. If she did this, would she also need to do a post-bacc to fulfill the pre-med requirements she would be missing from doing a bachelors in the U.K.?

As for medical school in Europe, it would need to be the U.K. I would need to see how many years it would take. Not sure if she wants to be there longer than 3-4 years. Also, she feels she would miss out on building a network of doctors and advisors in the U.S with whom she goes to school with.

She would not do both a post bacc AND a SMP. One or the other.

My son has also received an offer to study biochemistry at Oxford, also wondering about this!

There are substantial systematic and programmatic roadblocks for US med school applicants with foreign degrees, making it extremely difficult for them to gain a US med school acceptance.
