<p>I was an exchange student for a year at UMass back in 81 (exchanging from U of D). I absolutely loved it there; I did not want to return to U of D but had to in order to graduate on time. I know a lot has changed but when my D was looking at colleges last year Univ of Maryland was her 2nd choice. Pitt was her 1st choice and that is where she is. We did visit Maryland twice and it was wonderful. When all is said and done if money is not an issue I would choose Univ of Maryland for any major. I cant image someone not being happy there.
