I went to Maryland for one semester and I thought for Fall 2007 Maryland was a huge party school. Weekends begin on Thursdays and don’t end till Sunday afternoon when I was there and you have few people who go out throughout the weekdays. Almost every party, whether it was the University View, Frat Row/ the roads where the Greek houses are, or Knox Box, it definitely was a good time and yeah there are always provocative girls that you could score with, but that’s not my style, I’ve turned down quite a few of fast MD girls. The parties I attended were all good times, lots of beer (kegs and kegs and kegs) and a lot of bumping and grinding in the basement with loud music, on the main floor there were more people socializing, hooking up, dancing, and of course you had people playing alcoholic games such as Beirut (BEERPONG for you amateurs), Flip-Cup, Shot-gun amongst other fun and silly games.

However, I heard that in Spring 2008 when “Thirsty Turtle” opened than the house party/ greek party scene died down as “Turtle” was the place to be. I went to visit my friends in October and it was true, the line was out the door, backed up on the sidewalk.

All in all, Maryland is a fun school, regardless if it’s nationally ranked.
