Umiami Transfer chances to Yale? (3.6GPA + 2160 SAT + took year off)

Go ahead and give it a shot. However, my understanding is that it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT (i.e. near impossible) to be accepted as a transfer student to top tier schools like Yale. According to [Transfer Students | Transfer & Other Programs | Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.yale.edu/admit/other/transfer/index.html), 800 to 900 apply and 25 to 35 or even fewer are accepted. Hence you are looking at about a 2 or 3 percent acceptance rate, quite a bit lower than even the 5 percent regular decision acceptance rate.

I think your SAT and GPA are low and I don’t think your extracurriculars are very compelling; your business may be more compelling if it were large but it doesn’t seem to be. To be frank, I don’t think you have good chances…

I would work on essays and expanding your extracurricular activities, although it is a little late now. I don’t think you can retake SAT, although maybe you can, and obviously you can’t improve your GPA if you aren’t enrolled.
