Thank you all for your support and help… My D committed to UMich after a lot of thought… It was hard to let go of USC as she loved that campus as well… She went with UMich as she was receiving ~20 credits from her IB diploma
giving her the flexibility to major in CS and potentially a minor in Entrepreneurship or business from Ross. She also liked the flexibility offered by LSA CS program to experiment more liberal arts curriculum.
While USC also offered 20 credits for IB, the mandated courses to major in CS were fixed and she still had to do 128 credits to satisfy the program requirements…So, the 20 credits would only mean she would graduate with 148 credits which is not much value… Sharing this information for the benefit of others in a similar situation…
She also felt that Ann Arbor will give her a more American college town experience…
Glad she had two good choices and hoping she will be super happy at UMich… Thanks again to all who helped with their inputs…
