@kat1130 I’m not sure how much the hail interview counts for the admission process, but I sure do feel defeated. I feel like I’m working hard for nothing! UofM was my first choice as well

Deferred for LSA, OOS, GPA 3.63, ACT 30, SAT 1230
Applied COE oos-ny w/ 91.6 gpa 1430 sat and 32 act and got deferred. Also did the hail interview. Really bummed out and this really makes winter break a lot less enjoyable now knowing I may have to wait until April to find out my actual decision.

ALL DEFERRED APPLICANTS:
I totally understand how it feels—getting deferred, in general, sucks.
But not as much at Michigan.
So, so many students at Michigan get deferred and then accepted. I would literally call deferral --> acceptance more common at Michigan than EA acceptance.
That said, keep your head up high! Because, at least for Michigan, your chances aren’t over if you’re deferred EA.
