UMichigan Ann Arbor EA Class of 2021 Applicants

Hi guys, I’m Amanda and I got in as a BME yesterday, I was wondering if there was a group chat for admitted students.

Thanks :)))

I got accepted! 29 ACT 1290 SAT, In-State, 10 APs, EXTENSIVE ECs, Good essays

@seaotter17 I recommend applying. There are some pretty solid benefits to being in honors.

I’m a freshman in LSA Honors. HMU if you need any help or have any questions!

@Eeeee127 @guitar321 Awesome thanks, I am going to probably apply now

Deferred.
OOS.
4.0 uw, 4.3 weighted (A’s in every class including 5 AP’s).

30 ACT.
3 years of demonstrated leadership including ASB Treasurer and ASB Vice President of entire school.
4 years of same sport; 2 as Varsity starter.
Strong recommendations from AP Language teacher and ASB Director.

I have a question about the enrollment deposit. If I qualified for an application fee waiver, do I qualify for an enrollment deposit waiver?

@thecoopster20 call the office of financial aid!

Anyone know if there is engineering honors? And if so, where to apply? Thanks in advance.

if S received an LSA honors app invite, do you think that might bode well for a Ross Acceptance?

It looks like you have to wait till your fall semester to apply.

Can freshmen at UofM avoid getting into Triple rooms? Can they get a single? Thx.

Accepted into LSA.
ACT 31
SAT 1410
Legacy
Out of State
GPA-3.7 unweighted
10 APs

@APlennox OK thank you

I have a super important question: If I got deferred, and I sent in my Ross portfolio before the Nov 1 deadline, do I still have a shot at getting into the Ross preferred admission program by April? I think my stats are decent (Act 33, Sat 1540/1600, uwGpa: 3.7, 10APs, rest are honors-I think I only took like 3 regular classes ever-plenty of ECs and great Recs). I know it’s not a chance thread but I’m getting pretty concerned because Ross has been my #1 choice since even before high school.

@Sonali11 your test scores and curriculum r good. however Ross average umich recalculated GPA is 3.9 so your GPA is low. I think if u are accepted in February there’s a chance u will still be considered for ross since those decisions come out in March. Keep in mind though that the strongest ross applicants are admitted early action and your GPA is not very competitive. I would say ross is a reach for u. Keep your options open for other business schools where your GPA is in the range. Good luck!

does anyone know how long it takes for the actual acceptance letter to arrive in mail?

Well the admission office closed today at 5 for break so latest they could’ve sent them out was today I would expect to get one tomorrow if they sent them on Wednesday or next week

@shinoninomi I think it comes 10 businesss days after acceptance

XD

@3CsinLife you can request one but they are kinda handed out based on seniority so it’s very rare that a freshman gets a single.
