Both colleges will give you all the opportunities you need to apply for medical school; it’s up to you to find and take advantage of them. Neither school will give your application any particular boost when it comes to med school.
And let me point out a huge flaw in your plans—unless you’re planning to move to a WWAMI state after college graduation and live & work full time there for at least 2 year before you apply to med school, you can take UW off your list of dream schools right now. UW simply doesn’t accept OOR** applicants except for the MD/PhD program.
**OOR = out of region. WWAMI = Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana or Idaho
JHU accepts only 4% of applicants.

It’s nice to dream big, but getting accepted to any US medical school is an honor and huge accomplishment.
My advice: med school is expensive and there’s very little financial aid except for loans. Don’t go into unnecessary debt for undergrad. Save your money to pay for med school.
So unless you have big bucks donor willing to fully fund UNC-CH OOS costs, go to UA.
