Unfortunate initials

A coach at my high school had the initials SOB. He LOVED them and initialled everything; most teachers signed their first initial and last name.

Ronit - JK Rowling

My kids go to Power Middle School. The female teachers there are really cranky, for some reason.

Someone here here must have ESP–

Just yesterday the kids and I were talking about the names we chose for them vs. others we could have. Youngest said she’s lucky we made the choice we did, or her initials would have been ***. It wouldn’t have meant anything to me at the time, though now’s a different story-

Wow – CC automatically edited them out. I guess it IS lucky we didn’t name her that!! Sorry CC!

how did this thread get revived?? seems so random…

I don’t know. And I was even more surprised to find that I had actually posted on it in 2008…

My first boss had the initials DAB, and he signed everything like that. So that’s what we all took to calling him – at least behind his back. (To his face, he was Mr. B…)

My RL initials are fine. As you know, on CC people often abbreviate the screen names. Thus I became FAP. The urban dictionary definition for this is not for mixed company. I had no idea. Sigh.

Current NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne’s middle name is Kenneth (after dad) so his initials are KKK…

^- I like him- but did his parents not think of that?
My moms initials were E.A.T.

My mom’s initials are M.A.T.

(As much as I’m concerned, Urban dictionary can burn in hell. They attach a nasty meaning to every common word).

Not nearly as surprised as I was to find that I had started it!!

You know what’s really amazing, swimcatsmom? You and I and the rest of the gang are still here on CC! :D

FAP

Everytime I see your shortened name I think of the disease- Familial adenomatous polyposis. (colon cancer)

sorry! ;)

My grandma before she got married- PEW

A catholic friend from college - her initials to include her baptismal (?) name:
JLOP we would tease her about finding and marrying a guy whose last name started with “Y”…then she coud be

JLOPY (jalopy)

:)

Revived thread! A friend in HS had the initials RRR and he was reminded of them quite often in the school hallway.

When my kids’ initials (yes, they have the same initials) are arranged with the last name in the middle, it looks like this sTd

I’d like to say it was an accident, but it wasn’t. My MIL loved to monogram EVERYTHING and I detest monograms.
