Volunteer/Community service: The summers before ninth and tenth grade I volunteered at two different nature centers near me, and received around 70-80 hours total
Summer Activities: the aforementioned volunteering, homework, trip to Spain before junior year where we could do a small research project, + I’ve been trying to learn Greek so I’ve done a lot of that over the past summer
Essays: main: 8/10, about my love for records and record players, I like it and think it was good and authentic but it wasn’t my preferred topic
fun essay: 8/10, loved it, I did the one about clerical issue with one letter deleted, added,or changed, and did Part History instead of Art History; it’s about creative thinking and determining how one small change in the past could impact the future, this essay felt extremely me
why uchicago essay: 7/10, it was good, not sure how unique it was but it got the job done, the structure evolved a lot
Teacher Recommendations: english teacher: probably 7/10 or so?? I did well in his class and I think he understands my work ethic and such
chem teacher: 8/10, really really nice teacher and I was fairly active in his class, plus he gave me and some others a chemistry award
Counselor Rec: 10/10. I actually read it recently and it was excellent, love her for it
