No merit here either for another oos student accepted into the pre sports management program. The high tuition coupled with the uncertainty of his program not being direct admittance will result in him moving on from U Conn. We loved the campus-the location from us, the size, and the vibe. Same! He has received merit everywhere else. 
Iād like to believe everything happens for a reason and he will end up at a school that he loves but that doesnāt bankrupt us or him!

Same boat - pre sports management, OOS with no merit. Menās and womenās basketball teams were the big draws, butā¦

definitely better off!! iām currently a grad student and many of my student workers OOS are unable to find off campus housing and arenāt guaranteed housing

How is housing priority determined at UCONN? Based on admittance application date? Based on housing application date (after submitting enrollment fee)? Equally random for everyone that submits housing application by 6/14 deadline? Thanks!

Interesting. I noticed from your prior message that merit want included in his initial acceptance lett (wasnāt in my OOS, pre sports management sonās either). Curious, did he get an email or was it in the portal?

Oh, it turns out my son was wrong when he texted me earlier today. The email stated something about an offer of financial aid so he assumed he was getting merit aid. We didnāt look at it until tonight. He was offered loans. Oh well.
