Anecdote from a non-Jewish parent - we went on a UGA tour a couple months ago. Turns out our tour guide was from our high school from my older daughter’s year. So friendly and clearly loved UGA. I looked him up afterwards. What came up was the usual Linkedin and other social media, and also articles about him in the city Jewish paper for his leadership, and he was quoted in UGA paper and Hillels of GA after an anti-semitic incident. His energy and enthusiasm for the school were infectious.

Has anyone else heard that UGA has historically sent some decisions out on the last Friday of February on a leap year?
They don’t do a Feb release anymore.

We haven’t yet but I understand UGA doesnt release until early April if I recall corectly. Our daughter also applied for CURO which i believe in the past was announced this week. Let’s see…
For UGA counselor does it say “UGA Admissions Team”?
The counselor for Maryland, DC, Virginia (and maybe other mid-Atlantic states) recently left UGA and so now the default is whoever is on call from full Admissions team.
Ours says, UGA Counselor: UGA Admissions Team versus previously naming the actual Counselor for our out-of-state territory.
Heading to New Dawgs Day on March 18th from NJ. Can someone share an agenda from this year so I can see how long we meed to plan to be on campus before leaving for the airport. I know programming ends at 5 but guessing you can leave earlier once you have seen the things moat important to you. TIA!
Came here to find info too. The deans blog said rd offers are coming 3/15. Do honors invites usually come at the same time? This would help us make some decisions! Without honors Iva is off the table but with honors it is not. Wish we could find out everything all at once! Love uga and would love to hear about honors asap!
We were done at around 2. The afternoon is for visits to individual departments/colleges.

I’m freaked (and heartbroken) over the murder and suicide there. I know it happens everywhere, but definitely puts a damper on things/
campus is definitely shook by this (we have a freshman daughter). but the school is rallying around the students and offering tons of counseling and services. pretty much every organization on campus seems to be opening its doors and its arms to any student who needs to talk or needs company, and so are parents and alumni.
unbelievably tragic but the school will emerge stronger and the students will be brought closer together.
Yes, agree they will come out stronger (and also tighten up security big time). Glad to hear they are offering resources. I would feel better if they caught the person- worried it will remain unsolved

Yes, I see that they have a person of interest. I hope they get answers quickly. I have a freshman. It was a very difficult 24 hours. We knew the boy who died peripherally, and the incident took place in my son’s dorm.
