December 15th for OOS EA
Hi did all applicants get the FAFSA email from UGA?
We did
yes
OOS SoCal… 15 DEC 4PM EST correct? see ya’ll on the watch party! till then hope the other schools go your way… cheers!
My S24 should hear from 5 schools next week and UGA definitely is the one I am most anxious about. I think it’s a great fit for him but definitely a tough admit OOS. Fortunately he seems pretty happy with several other options.
busy time for us too… UGA; PennST, UMICH, WISCO, Indiana, UT Austin, OSU, UT -Knox, UC Boulder. Good luck and keep your head up! kiddos need you!
All great choices! My S24 is accepted at Auburn and Ole Miss and should hear from FSU, Clemson, USC, UGA, and TCU. Four more in the new year. But yes, he will be fine!
Any intel on the OOS release protocol for FRI 15th?.. i.e. first block of announcement are for DENIALS, a gracious way to quickly end the worry …followed by REFERRALS to RD…then ACCEPTED?..
Do schools do that?
I thought they would just dump all the results out at a certain time.
I’ve read about this from a certain Big10 school’s forum…
Interesting … care to share which forum … we are waiting to hear back from potentially 6 schools this week and I’m trying to manage expectations
Ohio State just released decisions in this particular pattern on Friday early evening into the wee hours following.
Based on how straight shooting UGA always seems to be with regard to the application process I do not see them staggering the release of decisions in such a format.
Just does not seem like their style. just my opinion but now I am curious and will look over past blog posts to see if they address this topic.
In previous years when in-state & out-of-state EA decisions were announced together, UGA released all at the same time. Also most were acceptances or deferrals.
ahh, this one… under the OSU early action for fall 2024 tab…
I thought that decisions were being released at a specific time, 4 pm. Not staggered.
This is correct. There was an official post someplace from UGA that said exactly this. Of course now I can’t find it- maybe it was on IG.
