What is the acceptance rate of students going into health profession schools?
In 2012, the average MCAT score for an accepted student was 30.2 for Georgia Tech students while nationally the average score for an accepted student was a 29.5. Tech consistently ranks about the national average for acceptance into medical school with 54% of our 2012 applicants gaining acceptance compared to 45% nationwide. The majority of our graduates go to Georgia Regents University, Emory, and Mercer University for medical school, followed by schools such as Johns Hopkins, Duke and Vanderbilt. For other health profession programs, the average trend is that Tech students typically have higher acceptance rates than the national average.

It appears that there is a huge instate advantage with many GT students being instate and then going to instate SOMs. Since the OP is instate, he’d have that advantage as long as his stats stay strong.

t GT students do have one thing generally a good job when they graduate. .

That is probably very true for E majors. The OP hasn’t listed E as one of his likely majors.
