The acceptance rates should be fairly similar for GTech, Emory and UGA. As is to be expected, Emory and UGA will be sending many more applicants than GTech. For 2014,

So, to emphasize, despite the low GPAs at GTech, getting into Med school should not be an issue. Most folks studying Engg. are just not interested in applying to Med school. My D2, a sophomore at GTech, knows of a few who are, most them are in the BME stream. My D1, who is in Pitt Med, went thru the more usual route for undergrad focusing on Bio/Math/Chem.
