<p>I would agree with that. Class ranks are important for applicants from disadvantaged areas. In my previous post, I was trying to make the point that if you’ve done well with your classes and have demonstrated in passion in your E.C.'s, UIUC won’t reject you just because a lot of other students from your high school have also done so. I suppose class rank can help you, but being middle of the road for your high school won’t hurt you if you come from a kick-asz high school.</p>
