Someone I know got Spring Admit - what does this mean?
I was accepted for spring admission as well, I think I will do Freshman Connection. @SoofDad is Freshman Connection first come first serve?

My son applied to cs. No mention of it but got into Letters and Science 490IT ā¦and the FIRE program. Am I correct in assuming he did not get into CS? What are the chances of getting into CS once there? Can anyone share info on the FIRE program? He is OOS (SAT 1530 Weighted GPA 4.25)

Son denied. Bummer. OOS, 1480 SAT, 3.5 GPA unweighted, good ecās. Good other accepted options, but was looking forward to UMDās comp. sci. program. Looks like UMD has a strong incoming class. Congrats to all.

Scholars is a very cool program, similar to Honors College. You can find info about it online and youāll be asked to choose a concentration. Iād suggest going to accepted students day and meeting with the group you choose and youāll get a great feel for it.
