<p>it’s true that much of the decline of umass can be blamed on reduced state support. legislators seem satisfied to let the state coast on the reputation of its private schools. but the campus administration is doing an atrocious job, as well. the contempt for students is palpable, and feeds into things like riotous behavior.</p>
