@GG1997 Absolutely worth it. We are far from Miami but visiting gave us a really good feel what it would be like to attend. It still stayed top choice for son, but he now knew what UMiami’s less positive points were and it is up to him if he can live with those!
@JJay 3.34 unweighted 3.9 weighted 1410 sat 30 act; in maybe 4 extra curriculars but not an officer. My friend had way higher stats but got deffered, so I’m sure it was because of my major that I got in. Also I’m from GA

Alright, so you know the application status rectangle? You can see it by looking in the application status tab.
Right before ea decisions were released (I can’t remember if it was the day of or earlier, thus my asking if anyone had it right now) that box also appeared at the very bottom of the student center page. The only thing different about this box was that there was also a small green circle that said complete (and eventually admitted for those accepted). So… does anyone have that rectangle at the bottom of their student center page right now? I had it when I got deferred, up until canelink was updated on the 16th-18th, but do not as of today. Since you guys aren’t sure what I’m talking about, they’ve probably taken them off everyone’s page until decisions are released.

Hello is anyone having trouble getting onto cane link? I try to log on and then it says “This service requires cookies. Please ensure that they are enabled and try going back to your desired resource and trying to login again.” but I’ve cleared my cookies and reenabled them so I don’t know what to do. I’m using Google Chrome.

@BrKmNk what “sign” are you looking for? Someone mentioned around the EA notification that there was an instagram post on UMiami with a mailbox and a number one over it. I never saw that post
Can you call the university and ask for the admissions decision day? I know that most schools release a statement saying the exact day they will release it and time but Miami hasn’t done that? Would it be bad to call?

I wish I knew. I think the EA people on this thread from Feb 1 or 2 heard late morning didn’t they? Last year a guy who’s kid was a Frost student that was admitted posted around 8:30 pm that he had heard. I don’t know if it was that late in the evening but I can ask him. I think notifications are all over the place. I would never have guessed that the scholarship weekend kids would have gotten an email at 10 am on a Sunday morning!

@cali1999 I have no idea. I’m just going by what they did last year and the year before. Last year they sent out decisions on the 21st. The year before they went out on the 25th and in 2015 they went out on the 20th. Not helpful I know but I honestly think we will have decisions by Friday at the latest. Oh and don’t wait for email. Your portal will update before the email goes out I think.
