Does anyone know how the honors college and merit aid works?
is there a difference between being waitlisted and being deferred?
deferred means that you will be considered again for rd and waitlisted means you get a spot if someone decides not to go @808college808

Waitlisted means you on a list to be accepted as others begin to decline. Defered means they will reevaluate you with RD

@Kd6410 Understandable. Found out from my dream school two weeks ago and already enrolled. Just declining the Spring spot to give someone who was possibly deferred and actually wants to go the opportunity. I couldn’t afford Miami from the beginning, just a long shot school for me wanted to see what happened. Not devestated about the decision.

Got accepted but not till spring of 2019. Awesome this was my dream school just to be accepted is awesome. Got almost free tuition from u tampa and usf. Either way this ohio girl is going to florida.

The more I read ,the more I understand that most of the students are waitlisted or deferred. I’m so sorry. Don’t lose hope!
